Lex made her way over to the warden's office with the on duty aurors, her wand out and ready as she went. It was likely that whatever and whoever had done this was already gone, having potentially broken out whoever they wanted, but caution was never a bad thing. Constant vigilance.
Her team would round up the criminals just fine. She wanted every criminal back in a cell if they were still on the premises, then they'd scour London and spiral outward from there. This was going to be a long day.
After checking the surrounding area, an auror stepped forward to get the door open to the warden's office. Not a one of them let their guard down, half expecting someone to run out. When that didn't happen, the small team slowly entered the room.
"Oi, Warden? The hell's going on here?"
Where was he? Were they really looking for a body? The room looked empty but, "Check every inch."
She had been waiting for the right moment, lurking in a corner as she heard the guards and ministry aurors. A smirk crossing her face as she thought about the ones that were supposed to be the best of the best not evening knowing all she had plotted and planned. The voice she was waiting for came closer and Simone lifted her wand.
As the woman she had been waiting for entered Simone flicked her wand and a think smoke filled the room causing anyone to be unable to see and while the distraction was in place Simone didn't take long to get behind the department head, stun her, and apparate them both away.
