She had it. Alexia KNEW she had it. She had been watching her classmates do this for a few minutes now, and had gained the confidence to attempt the activity herself. She was going to do this WITHOUT major catastrophe, and honestly, her mom would be proud of her right now. For not jumping into this activity with the force of 1,000 bulls and damaging something, or someone. She was being responsible. Did everyone catch that? Her responsibility?
She grabbed a bridle and smiled to herself as she laid eyes on her horse. Some students were already doing this correctly. This shouldn't be hard for little old her. She just had to follow the steps. It was like pitching. You had to go all the way around before throwing the ball, or else you were making a wimpy underhand throw.
She tossed the bridle in the air, making sure to follow it with her nose. Didn't want that hitting her on the head, did she? That happened to one of her teammates once, and her mom had to drive her to the emergency room. Except it was a ball and not a bridle, and it wasn't at 'early-o-clock' in the morning. She did have a very minor concussion, though. Not Alexia. Her teammate.
Rooted feet. Clear throat. Wand out. She was definitely making the first two instructions up. Anyway....
"Fixate!" She practically yelled the words as she hurriedly made the wand motions. She was feeling pretty confident right now. Maybe a little TOO confident.
