She returned her gaze back to the fourth year Hufflepuff, her shoulders shrug lightly from her question. What was Jillian really doing in the room other than enjoying the place because it wasn't crowded? "I'm here because I wrote my father a letter" he tends to get really concerned when she doesn't write him. "and maybe some light reading for NEWTs" which she doesn't really want to but have to. It's complicated.
K smiled brightly at the girl before as they exchanged pleasantries, before rearranging all of her supplies in front of her as she eyed her texts for a moment to try to consider what she should start on next. When Jillian responded with what she was working on -- which at least hadn't been studying that K rudely interrupted -- she nodded slightly. She probably should do that as well.
"I bet he's looking forward to hearing from you. Does your dad live in the UK?" There were so many people transferring from Ilvermony and jumping back and forth from the States, she figured it probably wasn't too outrageous of a question.
Light NEWTs reading? That must have meant the other girl was a seventh year.
"Are you dreading your exams at the end of they year?" K dreaded the idea of them already, and she was what felt like EONS away from actually having to take tests, so she couldn't imagine how someone who had to take them the end of the current school year would feel.
"Also, if I'm bothering you, please feel free to tell me to buzz off."
