Half way across the bridge, the Third Year leaned against the railing in a sort of slumped manner. Maybe he'd just...rest here...for a little. There was no real rush to head back to the castle. There was plenty of time to get started on his homework.
Kitt looked over, down into the ravine. How had he not noticed it before? What was done there?
"Helloooo!" He called, listening out for an echo. When he heard one, he tried again. "Helloooooo!".

...and that was just what she was doing. First year had been fun, but it had been that awkward year where she was the new kid and was just getting to know everybody. The only two people she'd really connected with were Blake and Bernie, and Bernie was acting kind of strange this year. Without paying too close attention to where she was going, the second year headed toward the wooden bridge. She knew enough about her whereabouts to not stroll into the forbidden forest, but she was still taken by surprise when she looked up and saw the bridge.
May as well cross it! She got a good halfway across when she came across Kitt, who looked to be having a little too much fun creating an echo.
"Helloooooo!" she said, creating an echo for him.
