“Oh… that’s true.. I was just being silly. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean… We barely know each other… You don’t expect me to start proposing to you now, do you?” he said making a joke of it before realizing that he was flirting. “I’m doing it again. I’m so sorry. I can’t help it… I’m awkward.” He paused, running a hand through his hair when she mentioned that the next ice cream was on her. “No, no, no. I could never live that down. My parents would force me to move out of the house if they heard I let a nice girl buy me ice cream.” He offered her a kind smile. He paused. She did look familiar. He couldn’t place where he knew her from.
He smiled when he listened to her speak about her family. “Do you have siblings?” he asked and then paused, wondering if that question was too friendly.
Noah nodded. Kimmie. “Is it alright if I call you Kimmie, Kimmie?” he asked rather nervously. He wasn’t sure what her reaction would be. Hopefully she’d be fine with it. Fingers crossed. If not…. Errr… well… He’d figure it out. He paused when she mentioned Ilvermorny. “THAT’S WHY YOU LOOKED FAMILIAR!” he exclaimed. “Ilvermorny. Wow. Sorry I should have said something sooner… I was a Pukwudge.”
Kimmie couldn't help the bubble of laughter that burst forth, and she quickly covered her mouth as she didn't want him to think she was laughing at
him or being mean or anything of that sort.
"No, no. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have teased you." But really, she had wanted to see if he would get at all flustered. And he did, and now she actually felt a bit bad.
"You're not awkward, you're sweet. Don't worry about it." She moved her hand so she could smile widely at him.
She tilted her head when he asked if she had siblings and she almost let out a groan at the thought of all of them.
"I have four siblings, three older sisters and a younger brother." Though she didn't really feel as if she had that close of a bond with any of them. Lucas was probably her closest bet.
"What about you?"
She grinned and nodded her head encouragingly when he asked if he could call her Kimmie,
"Please do." Kimmie laughed again at his exclamation, nodding her head.
"Probably so! It's not a problem, I wouldn't have expected to run into another transfer so soon. Are you looking forward to Hogwarts?" She absolutely was.
