Valerie Clementine Gray was even less amused than she had been moments earlier. Some would claim that maturity came with age. She would argue that maturity was subjective and open to interpretation. She, herself, had been required to fend for herself almost entirely since the tragic accident that had taken her entirely family away from her at such a young age. But in this feral existence she had lacked a certain affectionate touch that would have assisted her in evaluating right from wrong and, above all else, acceptable ways to channel her emotions.
