Nina Castillo was sill feeling rather hollow on the inside. So many of the people she loved dearly wouldn't be returning to Hogwarts next year and while she knew she wouldn't lose them forever, it was still upsetting to know that they wouldn't be around next year. Letters weren't the same as seeing a friend every day. She knew this first hand, as she had been communicating with Navid through letters all year. It wasn't the same and it almost made the distance hurt more.
Still she was one of the first few to board the train because Nina did not believe in arriving late. She couldn't risk being left behind. The front of the train was to be avoided at all costs seeing as the train ride from the beginning of the term went sour on that end. The back compartments were where all the slackers hung out and Nina wouldn't risk that crowd getting her into trouble.
So she found an empty compartment in the middle and took a seat next to the window. She was planning on spending the ride with Calyx, who would hopefully come to join her soon, but in the meantime she pulled out a book.
Chloe was feeling better by the time she hit the train. Going home was the best medicine for any awful thing going on. She would be on her broom by this time tomorrow, she would be away from so of the issues she had been having with some people, not that she wanted to be away from Ewan for an entire summer, but she knew her friend needed space, and she was going to get her own bedroom again.
Thinking about her comfy bed, her walls that weren't shared by anyone put a smile on her face. That was until she thought of the new baby that was coming. Would they try to make her share her room with it? No, they wouldn't make basically an adult witch share a damn room with a baby, right?
Ugh
Thinking about all this stuff she hadn't really even been checking compartments when she opened one and started headed in.
"Oh, Nina, hi, do you mind if I join you?"
