Only there certainly was and she simply did not wish to entertain him with her truths.

David, in particular, had been conducting research in this field for quite some time. But a wise mind, like his, did not feel threatened nor insecure around strange birds, like this one, and thus disinclined to share anything else about himself.
So, he shrugged to her question, and moved to begin walking up the street away from her. Maybe he should get some dessert after his sandwich, hmm? Ice cream sounded good. That had really been a small sandwich, after all. He could easily go for ice cream.
"I did not desire to share my name," he replied simply as he breezed past her. Was he mocking her? Maaaaaaaaaaaybe.
