Cole didn't know what upset him more how Claudine said it or what she actually meant. He was nothing to her just an acqauintence. Not a friend. Clenshing his fists and opening them again as he tried to control his raging feelings. Taking a breath he asked again for complete confirmation, his eyes finding hers. The last thing Cole needed right now was vague answers. "So i'm just an acquaintence to you too? Not a real friend like Bernie is? Just so we are clear..." Had he not showed this term that he cared about her and was interested in what she disliked and liked and so on? Apparently not in her eyes. Girls we're big puzzles.

Cole could have said that he liked her a little but he didn't. She had explained to him that she had for the moment no interest in getting a boyfriend in the near future. "I think it's sad that you have such a poor image of yourself. You're likeable Claudine and I hope you realize that sometime soon." Before you have ailenated all your friends and potential boyfriends.

Eyes drifting over to Christopher that was now sleeping soundly in Claudine's arms, Cole shrugged in answer to her question "Sure, If you don't mind to? I've got to study extra hard for my potions owl so I at least get an acceptable grade."
