Bernie was nice, and Phoebe was glad they were FOR REAL friends now, not just housemates and co-parents. She smiled merrily at the girl, although her attention was soon arrested by the professor's words. Oh... oh, duh. She hadn't even been paying attention to what was on their desk, but it was definitely the Sorting Hat.
"It's not the real Sorting Hat?" Phoebe slid forward on the desks and got eye to eye with the hat, but it didn't even ripple. Smelled pretty accurate, like dust and firsty fear sweat. "Maybe we're gonna learn about Godric Gryffindor. This is his hat right here."
