There was nothing wrong with either of them, but Tom had helped her destroy the duelling arena at the start of the term, which meant he might drag her into trouble again, and Missa was friends with a certain Slytherin who had discovered her there in the duelling arena, and so, long story short, Bernie did not want to get expelled today, so it was good to have at least one generally rule-abiding friend at this table.
Now then, class was starting, and the second year began craning her head to look around the room at all the objects here and there. She had an idea of what they might represent, or rather who they might represent, and so she raised her hand and blurted out her guess as usual, before she really thought it all through.
