At Claudine's reveal that she had never wanted a pet until now Cole just felt bewildered. He had had pet's in his life since he could remember and it'd be super weird and lonely without one. "How come you have never wanted a pet until now? If you don't mind me asking?" Maybe it was a touchy subject. For all Cole knew maybe Claudine was allergic or someone in her family was or there was a totally different reason all together. After giving the brown rat a last affectionate scratch he gently lifted it off his shoulder and over to sit on Claudine's right shoulder. "Hmm names, have to come to you like how i named my rat Harry. But some suggestions maybe Sam or Ron or if it's a girl I haven't checked then maybe Sally?" Cole was lousy with names. Claudine had to figure it out herself.

Wonderful it was hard not to feel the sudden chill that had come into Claudine's tone. Pretending that he hadn't seen the head jerk, arched brow or questioning eyes he continued on. "So you never hug or touch anyone? Not even someone you like? Not even a friend or a boyfriend?"
