Beth was grumpy, to say the least. She huffed and puffed her way toward the butterfly garden, not really paying attention to the people or things around her. The term was almost over and she'd been looking forward to the summer holidays more than anything, but now her brother had ruined the entire plan with his poor life management skills and it was taking everything for her to not march up to the owlery right this second and send him a very heavily worded howler.
It's okay, she was calm. Really, she was.
Don't get her wrong, she loved being at Hogwarts with her friends and her classes and okay yeah, maybe walking around the grounds and seeing the Hogwarts founders is extremely weird and kind of terrifying, but she made the most of her fifth year. She had worked hard in all of her classes and was so excited for her holiday. She was supposed to go to Spain this summer. She was supposed to see her grandparents after years of not being able to visit, watch the sunset and stroll down La Rambla with abuelo, and watch novelas and bake pastries all afternoon with abuela. But none of that was probably going to happen now, and honestly she just wanted some strawberry ice cream and a hug!!! She figured she could always stop by the kitchens before heading back up to the common room, but for now surrounding herself with nature was the best thing she could do. Something about it always calmed her down. She sat with her back against a nearby tree and began to sketch in her book.
