"Garbage," Phoebe gave a pert nod as she dragged her aloe vera plant across the work station toward herself. "It kind of smells like garbage. Like not stinky bad four day old in the sun garbage, but sort of natural and moldy and icky." That was probably as good a description as she could manage.
She pulled her wand free from inside her pocket and pointed it at the largest leaf on the plant. She liked that leaf, though. It was her favorite one. Maybe she'd go with the third largest, which was also sort of wilting and ready to be pruned. "Diffindo." Surprise of surprises... it worked.
Now for the harder part: cutting the leaf into additional strips. Lots of little cuts, which required much more precise magic. "Diffindoooo?." Tiny little cut, but not a very good one. She'd keep trying... there was an awful lot of leaf left.
