Gabi was taking a mental roll call in her head as the group caught up to her. There was Nina Castillo, trailing quietly behind Gus - she had been a bit surprised the girl had decided to join her, to be honest. She never got the vibe from Nina during class that she was particularly connecting with the girl - but maybe she was on some level? Jina was close behind, and Gabi was pleased when the whole group seemed to be catching up. So far, so good.

As for Kodee...having been the mother to a teenage boy once, she figured he likely had ulterior motives to wanting to visit the kitchen. "If Gryffindor shows up, Professor Rainwater and I will protect you," she assured the older boy. She'd seen firsthand the damage that sword could do - even if Gryffindor wasn't real, his sword certainly was. "As for the kitchens, I believe one of the other groups is covering the lower levels of the school," she assured him.

She turned to the Head Boy and nodded at his thinking. "It's worth a try. Any of it is, really. We haven't needed to use magic on them up until this point so I'm not sure how it'll work...but anything is worth a shot," she encouraged him. She was all for immobilizing them and simply chucking them at the empty paintings. As for sealing them shut...a variation of the impenetrable charm would probably do the trick. Hopefully. It would be her starting point.

"Did anyone here run in to the portraits earlier in the year? The Fat Lady was out and about at one point, and now she's back...did anyone witness that?" she asked the group at large. She'd heard about it, and considered it a weird fluke - but since they had remained in their frames and had behaved themselves since all this madness started, she hadn't given it much thought. She glanced at Gus, raising an eyebrow. Had he seen any of it?
