She noticed one of the older students inside. She had the baby strapped to her chest. That was interesting. She wasn't surprised but she was surprised all at the same time. She watched for a few seconds as the older girl started pruning the shrubs. She wasn't about work, but this was wand work. She wondered if the girl would show her how to do it. "Um..." She paused walking a bit further into the room. "Want to show me how to do that so I can help?" Words she never thought would leave her mouth... at all...ever.
In the silence of the room, it didn't take much for Rylee to notice someone else's presence only a few moments after she had began tending to the plants. Hearing the girls question brought an immediate smile to her face.
"I'm using the severing charm, have you learned that one yet?" she asked lowering her wand to her side as she turned around to fully face the younger girl. If memory served her correctly that was a charm taught in either second or third year but that didn't mean the girl couldn't have learned it on her own or from someone older.
"It's not to hard to learn but you need to make sure you have complete focus on the task at hand and hold your wand very steady." This charm could be seriously dangerous if used wrong.
Blue-gray eyes looked over the girl once more before Rylee realized she was a first year in her house. Normally she would've noticed that straight away but having only returned to Hogwarts after the holiday break a lot of the newer faces still didn't register in her mind.
"I'm Rylee and this is Serafina." She smiled warmly nodding her head towards the 'baby' that was in the carrier.
"We're in the same house." In case the girl didn't recognize her.
