There she was, enjoying her peaceful small talk with Jonathan when the Minister came along and told her that he wanted to do a duet with her at some point in the evening. She laughed politely, innocently assuming that he was JOKING. Surely he wasn't serious.
But... surely, he was. Because a few minutes later, the Minister was back and he was ushering her to the stage with a firm hand on her back. "Oh - oh, you were serious?" she questioned, suddenly QUITE nervous. January's green eyes went wide as she tried to think of an escape from the most embarrassing situation she could ever be put in. January did not do karaoke. January didn't DO things that embarrassed her. She wore pencil skirts and carefully ironed blouses. She did NOT subject herself to public humiliation.
