He knew himself, just like his parents and sisters. He couldn't sit that long for anything. Not when there was a mountain of sugar calling out to him.
"How many ice creams can I have?" the four year old asked, looking up at both his mum and daddy. It really was not ideal that they were standing right next to each other. If he could he would have asked one separately, then ask the other, and go with the best answer. But nope. Not today. So he smiled a smile that was bound to be impossible to deny the simple joys of life.
The correct answer was however many bowls of ice cream he wanted. You know, in case they were wondering. Did they notice how he had asked and wasn't running all over? He could behave, see? He was an angel. For now. Frankie had mixed feelings about this venture to Florean's. It was nice to get out with the entire family, all cheery and full of excitement and with the promise of a good time. But then there was the reality of the situation. There were bound to be a heap of children, all hyped up on sugar and jumping off the walls. Amongst those were going to be his own, which would only add to the chaos.
Was he expecting it? Yes. Was he ready to endure it? No. Honestly, he would rather track a dark wizard. At least they were more predictable.
But there he was, taking in the winter wonderland that had exploding in the ice cream shop. The youngest of the bunch was being held in his arm and his free hand was held by one of the girls. He gave the shopkeeper, Lex and her husband, and the redhead woman a nod before looking down at his son.
"Uhh..." He wasn't buying into that sweet demeanour at all. Nevertheless, he had to appreciate the effort. The Auror glanced over to Hady. This was going to be her call. Some might call Hady insane for even having considering this but the thought hadn't even crossed her mind about how chaotic things could get. Chaos was something she dealt with on a daily basis. She enjoyed it. The unpredictability of it all kept her on her toes.
What she hadn't been expecting was the mountains of snow, face painting and loads of ice cream toppings. This truly was a little kids paradise. They had barely made it in the door and their son was already asking how many bowls of ice cream he could have. Which clearly meant all eyes were on her for an answer, including her husbands. Really, Frankie?? The whole reasons he had dragged him along was so he would help with things. "Let's start with one for now," she replied smiling at Logan. Yes, one. They could then go from there and see what happens. Two parents and four kids meant they each could keep an eye on two of the children. This was going to be much easier than when it was all four of them and only her. WHOA!
Bryony's blue eyes grew wide as she looked all around at everything from the safety of her daddy's arms. Not only was there lots of people she didn't know but there was noise and colors and lights. It was a LOT for an eleven month old to process.
