Lucien was not excited for this. Not one bit, but he has a daughter who very much loves singing and it was getting awfully close to her birthday. Too close to say no to her when she saw the flyer amongst his work papers when he was picking her up. He should’ve thought that through better.
Now here he is, walking into something with coworkers he gladly doesn’t know and with a jumping 5 year old trying to contain her excitement. Trying. He really couldn’t help the small smile that he got as she ran over to the song book trying to find a good one. Of course she’d probably be bringing it to him any minute because she wouldn’t be able to read most of them.
