Probably not. His Gryffindor energy was strong today, and the whole point of them being here was to have fun and relax.
That was easier said that done for some though. After getting a drink in his hand, he scanned the underground coffee club, more so out of Auror instinct than anything. His blue eyes quickly locked in on Simon. Naturally, the blond casually made his way over to the man, swiftly swaying to the tune that was being sung.
"Fancy a duet later, mate?" he asked the Head of Security with a cheeky grin. Of course he knew that the man would outright refuse, but it never hurt to poke a little fun at Mr. Serious. His practice gaze gracing the room as habit kicked in, Simon noticed as the younger man made his way over to him. A raised eyebrow at the remark, he found himself chuckling softly in an attempt to push away the awkward notion and shaking his head. “I’m pretty sure within the large employment compliment of the Ministry, you could find a MUCH better partner for that duet.” Unless the reason for the request was to permanently make people fearful of him and him singing. Boggart in the Closet or Lavender Perfume would be his preferred options if he had anything to say about it. Now his musical endeavours were mostly limited to acoustic guitar and bedtime melodies for his grandchildren.
Hardly anything to complain about.
"How about all three of us and we make it a band!" he proclaimed jovially, a hand placed firmly on the shoulders of both Simon and Frankie, giving each of the men fatherly squeezes to the shoulder. And then there was the addition of a certain minister into the mix and at the playful question, Simon was reminded of the man’s past in the music world. His gaze turning to the older man as he was brought into an almost group hug. “I’m not sure my accompaniment would do much justice to your own voice, Minister,” he mused in all honesty, inwardly hoping it was a decent response to keep him safe. Not that he thought he could likely deny if the man gave into too much prodding. He was the boss after all.
He would just really…really regret it the morning.
And need a few drinks.
