Do they...uhhhh.. know... how the portraits move here?" They'd never really talked about their home lives before, but Bernie was pretty sure Blake knew all the same Muggle things she did, so she was assuming at least one of his family members was a Muggle.
She sighed a little and looked at her mug sadly. "Yes, twas I." She thought about elaborating, but then he mentioned his fainting, and she giggled in relief because she wouldn't have to talk about her gullible moment. "I thought that's what had happened to you!! How do you think the professors are going to get all these founders to go back to wherever they came from?" And was it even possible to do so???
Bernie took another sip if butterbeer and grinned. "Finneas. He's Finneas James-Grantham." Not named after anyone in particular or anything, hehe.
Blake smiled at Bernadette.... without her having to say it out right she really did care about him. And that was worth it's weight in gold. And now he couldn't wipe that stupid smile off his face.
"I'm sure my parents would have appreciated it." He added,
"Yeah, my dad's a wizard and was in Slytherin himself ... I think that's how I ended up here...." Blake said with a slight huff, he was still getting use to his house. You'd think half way through his 2nd year he would accept he was Slytherin, but he really didn't feel like he had any of the right traits to be here.
"My mom's a muggle though, so though she's heard pictures move, I don't think she really gets it." Blake laughed at the thought of his mum seeing him stuck in portrait. She'd be more terrified than he was.
"I don't know how ... maybe they will have to 'chase' them back to their portrait. The one that fell out of mine didn't get very far, but I have a feeling if she did I would have been stuck in there even longer." Blake was very grateful to be out.
"How do you think they'll do it?" "Oh man! You got a boy!! I wanted a boy!" Blake thought back to the decision him and Isla made, he gave in pretty easily on the girl thing... maybe he should have put up a bigger fight.
"My 'daughter's' name is Ellie."
