As practiced previously with a dummy, Carsyn figured she would lead by example and took a bow at the young first year.
Hmm... Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Isla hadn't realized it, but her eyebrows had instinctively narrowed inward in thought. If Carsyn was just going to stand there and allow Isla to cast on her, then it was possible Isla wasn't going to die some horrible and unnatural death during this duel. She had no idea how Carsyn was with a wand. All she knew is that she had a fear if dueling that kind of seemed like it was diminishing at the moment.
"Okay, I can handle that," she said, and then she walked a good distance away and faced her opponent. She returned the bow then raised her wand. With her focus just about as on-track as it could be, she thought long and hard (but not TOO long) on what she wanted to do. She wanted Carsyn's wand. Preferably without Carsyn kicking her tail in doing do.
"Expelliarmus!" the first year called out, as she whipped her wand down and around.
She couldn't believe she was really doing this. Her...DUELING. And against a PREFECT at that. She really
didn't have a death wish. Honestly!
