Hogwarts RPG Name: Scarlett Mordaunt Hufflepuff Seventh Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Brenna Kavanaugh Slytherin Second Year x8 x4
| Arts TRANSPONSTER! Cecelia was bowing like in their first lesson. It took Catherine a few seconds to decide and emulate her best friend, bowing 45 degrees and not taking her eyes off the blonde. Not that she was suspicious of Cecelia per se, but this was a 'limited duel', as the professor had pointed out earlier.
That was why Catherine was actually not paying attention to her surroundings anymore but had her attention solely focused on her opponent. It was obvious her best friend was far from doing the same, because right after their bowing the Gryffindor was whispering things that were in no way any incantation Catherine knew of. That was because they were normal sentences and of course Cecelia was distracted.
Catherine was about to shake her head and exhale in slight frustration - if they were going to duel then they might as well get it done - but she stopped herself and simply pursed her lips as she turned to see who Cecelia was talking about.
Only to see a Slytherin boy faint. Dear Merlin, had he not managed to get the spell right to protect himself? It felt a little too early in their duelling time to even get any proper damage done, but then again, maybe some were naturally better than others. Catherine's gaze moved to see who the Slytherin boy had been duelling (Chloe McCarthy. Noted) and it was only then that she realised who Cecelia had been talking about. Salazar Slytherin was standing by the Headmaster, making the first year blink and watch.
Catherine was actually very curious about that man, but only because he was her father's house founder. In fact, she was merely watching the man to see if anything in him reminded her of her dad, and truthfully... something did. Probably the way he was carrying himself. Only that reminded her a bit more of her great-grandfather, but dad definitely had that too.
The next founder was much more emphatic about his way of entering the classroom and was not missed by Catherine. No one could possibly miss that entrance anyway, not matter how focused they had been. No wonder Cecelia and Noah and half of her family had been sorted into that house.
Then of course some of her classmates were losing their minds, yelling and making a scene. Catherine rolled her eyes and kept watch of the founders and the Headmaster, curious to see what would happen next. For a fraction of a second she thought it'd be kind of fascinating to see Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin duelling, but that was unlikely because surely the Headmaster would put them in their right place. They weren't really the founders anyway, just an image of them. So it wouldn't exactly be as amazing, Catherine didn't think.
That thought and Headmaster Trent was telling them to focus on what they were doing instead of on the men made the Ravenclaw turn to Cecelia again. "You need to focus." She told her, holding her wand up again and readying herself for when her best friend decided to try and disarm her.
