It was activity time and they had to pair up. Of course they did. There were no dummies today, so they had to practice with each other. Naya spent a little too long watching the organized chaos of partner searching. Before she knew it, most of the students had partnered up and she was standing alone and unpaired.

Fortunately, there appeared to be another straggler looking alone. The Ravenclaw prefect. Naya was not intimidated. Nope, not one bit. She went over to the somewhat older student and made her pitch. “Hi. I’m Naya. Soooo you need a partner? Lucky for you, I’m available.” She was joking of course and flashed a smile to make that clear. “So what do you say? Want to be my partner?” Hopefully he said yes because their options were rather limited.
