He was certainly not fit to lead any kind of activity in front of all the peers in his house, the new and old ones alike. He couldn't be a leader, didn't the man know? The bigger kids would be watching him - judging him, maybe, on how well he instructed the youngest kids, and Teddy was just gonna... nope. Nope on outta here. "Oh, no thank you, sir." That was all the professor got out of him before he tried to seamlessly blend back into the crowd and rejoin Tavie.
He would just, you know, do the magic on his own. Mind his own business, or maybe let Schmoe pick someone more capable and with better leadership qualities than him to lead such an activity. Tavie could do it. She was fun and amiable and real leadership material.
Finneas smiled in a way that wasn't entirely natural. Not because he didn't want to be smiling, but because his natural resting face looked confused and he was very much trying not to look that way. Because people didn't take confused people very seriously, and Finneas did want to be taken seriously in this role. And this had absolutely nothing to do with finding redemption in the fact that his yearbook superlative was for 'class clown'! AnYwAy anyway ANYWAY. Finneas looked down at the boy, trying to figure out what was going on in that little head of his with no avail.
He......... Did not expect what happened next.
In fact, it took him a few blinks. And a long "errrrrr...." before he realized what had just happened as Teddy just vanished away. Well. This was. Not ideal. He would have to talk to Teddy later perhaps because clearly there was something going on. Though maybe he wasn't the right guy to encourage it all. Finneas was.... confused. Which was unfortunate as he was trying not to look confused, remember!?!?! Quote:

Missa had gotten a smile and so had Ewan. "The poor elves," he agreed, with a sad sort of nod. Err.... What were you supposed to do with your arms when you were having a conversation. Arms were so weird. Arms. What a thing to possess. But back to the elves. The poor elves. "I had errr considered putting together a group... a er.... sanitation squad, if you will... To help them out with some of the cleaning." But with all the work he had piled up already this term, he wasn't sure he could pursue such an undertaking on his own. Schmoes were busy people. Quote:

Did you have a good holiday?"
Finneas was very appreciative of those who were doing their best to make cleaning a good time. He didn't fancy cleaning very much. Could only imagine how much the kidderoos despised this. In place of a start of the term party too. Ah, to be young and party. What a time. Not that Finneas ever attended any parties, he had far too much to read... And far too little friends to invite him. But that was neither here nor there. "Oh," he smiled a goofy little smile that reached the corners of his face when Avalon asked the question about his holiday. "Good, yes," so goofy was his smile. "Very good holiday," he mused bobbing his head up and down.
Though anytime spent with his girlfriend was good. Very good. Supherb, even! This summer she had been hired for a few photoshoots in Italy and Greece, which was very nice because it meant Finneas could go to Italy and Greece. They had great pizza. He quite enjoyed pizza. Gluten free crust, of course. That was important. And errrrrr. "How was your holiday?" he finally asked back in response.
