“Tell me about you, Ronnie. What have you been up to?” He had asked her to talk about herself only moments ago but she hadn’t, keeping all the attention on him instead. Maybe she didn’t want to speak of her life to him? Maybe she still resented him a little for breaking off their engagement?
The thoughts made Jory uncomfortable. |
