Naya wasn’t quite sure why Professor Sandhu had responded to her greeting quite the way she did. The look and the tone with which she spoke was...........ahhh. She got it. The introduction. The professor probably didn’t understand why Naya had offered her name. Since Naya had only been at school for what she thought to be a short time last year, she didn’t assume that everyone remembered her. Perhaps that was not the case. Anyway, it was too late to take it back now.

Just then, Cole asked about the field trip. “Oh yeah. I’m always up for a field trip. This should be good. I’ve never been to Ethiopia or Africa for that matter. So yeah, you could say I’m excited.”. But it was time for class to begin, so further conversation would have to wait.

When her turn came, she raised her hand. “Light and heat from the sun can be captured and used here on earth. It is an energy source, solar energy that can be used to generate electricity, heat and such.”
