"I'm impressed." He was, actually. He'd never met a wizardy gargoyle before, of course, but he'd seen them on buildings in the Muggle world and they were huge. He didn't know how he'd have reacted to one attacking him -- he liked to think that he'd cast some kind of spell and come out on top -- but Bernie had actually done that.

"You're definitely supposed to be in Gryffindor. You said that's the brave house, right?" Elias smiled at her, "For sure. Miss Gryffindor."
