♙ BACKGROUND

As the hot summer weather came to an end, Prescott and Morgot brought into their growing family a third son. Naturally both parents instantly fell in love with their newborn; brothers Travis and Keenan, however, had different opinions. Travis was indifferent, being on the verge of starting his second year at Hogwarts and only caring about what the girl that he was crushing on thought of him. Keenan felt the full effect of having a newborn in the house, which made the then three-year-old resent the fact that he was not the centre of attention while Travis was away at school for most of the year. Asher, though, did not pick up on any of this and continued on living his life as a normal baby would with unconditional love for anyone he knew.

While to his brothers he seemed rather gullible, Asher simply lived a life full of curiosity and exploration the years that followed. Travis, being a teen that did not want much to do with a little kid, would often tell stories that the young Fawley believed without question. This led to many hours spent searching for leprechauns, looking buried treasure in their mother's garden beds, etc. Keenan eventually grew affectionate of his little brother, if not only for his own amusement. More often than not Asher would find himself falling victim to the 'games' that Keenan would have him partake in. Once he was trapped in the attic with the boggart, which shapeshifted into a zombie-clown hybrid, that had made itself at home there. On another occasion, he was tricked into riding a training broom and flew himself into the River Camel at a time when he had yet to learn how to swim. It was this moment, however, that revealed his magical ability as a large air bubble formed around his head for a lengthy period of time, allowing him to see all the nifty flora and fauna under the water's surface.

To Asher it seemed like he would never receive his Hogwarts acceptance letter. Each year leading toward his eleventh birthday, he watched Travis and, in recent years, Keenan be whisked away to school. While the eldest brother chose not say much about the school as he was on the verge of graduating, Keenan was more than willing to tell Asher (a million and one lies) about the classes, professors, and many mysteries of the castle. This only made him more excited to begin his magical journey, learn how to be the best wizard he can be, and successfully become best friends with the Giant Squid and explore the depths of the lake.

Text Cut: Family Origin

For many years, the Fawleys have been a well-known family in the wizarding community for one reason or another. Initially the family had been known for maintaining its pure-blood status for generations, which put their name in the early 1930s Pure-Blood Directory and dubbing them as one of the 'Sacred Twenty-Eight' (a title that they would come to lose some years later). Their blood status and, in addition, their well-off social standing did not get to the heads of the past Fawleys, for the family's strong belief in hard work and loyalty, rooted from generations of Hufflepuffs, were held at their core.

The same could be said about Hector Fawley, who was the Minister for Magic in Britain from 1925 to 1939. Unlike his predecessor, Lorcan McLaird, he had a vibrant character that was greatly appealing to most. His exuberant energy, earning him the nickname 'Flamboyant Fawley,' did buy him more years as Minister. However, largely due to the Daily Prophet, the wizarding population in Britain over time began to question whether he was doing enough to bring an end to the antics of Gellert Grindelwald. In the end, it was his lack of response to Grindelwald's rise to power that ended up bringing an abrupt stop to his political career as he was forced out of office when Leonard Spencer-Moon stepped up.

In the decades that followed, the Fawleys remained under the radar for the most part. Those that followed Hector were just about as average as one could imagine. Of course, some particulars ended up being louder than others and put the spotlight back on the family. During his third year in 2016, Eustace Fawley was involved in a fire at the boathouse at Hogwarts. Though, that incident was rather minor in comparison to the disappearance of Penelope in 2015 and the resulting actions of her husband Grim Fawley. The memories of the outbreak of the Calamity in 2019 and the allegations made against their father is something that fraternal twins Addison and Melody have not casted away into a pensieve, which is why they ensure their descendants contribute positively to the wizarding community.
