Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite "I won't break him, honest." Emm promised Samantha, not really seeing HOW she could go about breaking the little boy. If there was one thing her cousins had taught her, it was that other children were VERY hard to break. You had to really put your back into it, get the muscles sore and even then you were more likely to have your mum or aunt walk in asking what in Merlin's soggy beard you thought you were doing before prematurely yanking you off the target you were so diligently trying to break.
It was a whole problem the little girl was all too familiar with.
AND SOMEONE ELSE RECOGNIZED THE PRINCESS TOO!!! Only, she saw her first. That meant she had first dibs on EVERYTHING, like the dress she said she could try later. "After lunch???" That was later. That was plenty later to try on a dress. "When is lunch? What is lunch?? Can we have ice-cream???" Any talk of practicality did indeed go over Emmerson's head. Her tutu was here to stay and she'd intentionally left the change of clothing her mother insisted she have "just in case" SO.
It was this or nothing, and she didn't wanna be in nothing.
But wait. Adam here didn't know how a skirt worked. "We can swap clothes later and you can find out. I don't mind, I've got more at home. But you can't rip it because then I'll make mummy rip YOU." Fair enough warning. An amused smile played on the counselors face as more and more children arrived. It was indeed an energetic bunch that they'd gotten this year and it was hard to miss that.
Was she convinced the little girl wouldn't break the boy? No, but it was about time to start so something to no longer worry about. "Aye, a bit of conditionin' for the little ones. They'll be sore enough by the end of the day without us gettin' too deep into thin's."
Speaking of getting into things, it was time for them to get a move on. Samantha blew her whistle to get everyone's attention. "Listen up everyone, it's time to begin the day's quidditch camp. I know you're all excited and I'm excited, too. Before we begin, I'm Samantha Dacres, head counselor and these are your volunteer counselors." She paused so each could have a turn at introducing themselves before continuing. "First, we'll be doin' a silly sort of exercise that might help with your coordination some. See the pieces of rope in the bucket I've got here?" In truth, there were many things stored in there but the ropes were hard to miss. "I want you to grab a partner, any partner, even a counselor and I want you to tie your right or left leg together. We'll be doin' some laps."
She trusted her counselors would help with any tying or partnering up that would be needed. THEY WERE STARTING!!!! They were starting, they were starting!
Emmerson all but wiggled while Samantha spoke and when the instructions were done, without so much as moving to get rope, the 8 year old unceremoniously yelled. "I NEED A PARTNER!!"
