It would bother her more if she didn't get to spend time alone with daddy, but she had that covered since she was always invading visiting his study anyway.

So this time she wouldn't sulk or complain. She did, however, frown when her mum told her to take a seat while her and Catherine's sister went inside to get the ice creams. She was frowning because not only did she know Scarlett would get to eat half of her weight in ice cream before even leaving the parlour to take a seat - her sister was good at playing their mother saying she just needed to try the flavours 'one last time' before choosing what she wanted. Eye roll. - but Catherine was also told she had to take a seat.

The problem with it now was that all tables seemed to be taken and Catherine was not about to go around speaking to strangers to ask for a seat. It was times like these she wished her best friend Cecelia or even her brother Noah were here. They were the ones who did the talking and sorting out with strangers. Not Catherine. Catherine did not do that and probably never would.

So.. she just stood there. Looking around slightly uncomfortably, shifting from one leg to the other every once in a while.

Urgh, how she hated awkward.
Her mother still wasn’t back and she was starting to get irritated. Like how long did it take for a person to get ice cream? It wasn’t even like she had her other siblings with them to slow the process down. She huffed, one of her curls falling into her face. This was not shaping up to be a great day.

Although by the looks of it the girl who just stood there had it worse. Her face scrunched up in confusion. Why would you just stand around. Clearly there were more seats at her table and while Charlie was certain she looked a bit mean she was fairly certain she didn’t look like she would bite. Finally she decided she would just deal with the rude stranger herself instead of watching the awkwardness.

“You know you could sit at this table...”
she moved her hands to show off the empty seats she had while waiting for her mother to come back. Might as well look less lonely and neglected.
