As expected, the unlocking charm did not work and the lift stayed stuck between floors. A few lifts sped past them, moving too swiftly for the two men to attract their attention with Vermillious. Other charms, such as the Mending Charm, Aberto, or a message spell would also proof unfruitful.
However, that Patronus idea might prove powerful enough to escape the confines of the stopped lift, if only one of the two contained men were willing to give it a go.
Or, one could always try a counter-charm. But which one?
