Benny settled down in a spot to get comfortable, staring out into the afternoon sun as he awaited Adi’s return with their repast. He kept an ear out while he relaxed, not so much for his husband but for any hint that the twins might be cutting the couple’s break short. He inwardly hoped that it did not happen any time soon, biting back a yawn for good measure. The dragon loved his growing family ever so much but it did take a lot out of oneself, even with the help of their combined families and their workers taking extra care of the preserve.
Thoughts of the creatures currently under their care made Benny turn and look towards the direction most of them were housed. The dragonologist making a mental note to spend some time there tomorrow if he could manage to pull himself away. He could not fully let down the scaled members of his family, any more than Adi could of the feathered variety. Or Adi could forget his stomach, the hippogriff returning with the promised goods.
“Mhmm….smells yummy,” he remarked, shifting to help get the floating feast to a suitable spot within both their reaches. “You certainly outdid yourself, love.”
