~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. It was a relief to be looking somewhere else other than at Bernie. Guilt was a powerful emotion that was not helping Claudine to feel any better. A few Professors were arriving, including Schmoe. Surprisingly, as she attended more of his lessons and learnt more about his weird behaviour, her opinion on him softened considerably. In a way, he was like her: they both had quirks that could be off putting to some. The Snakette actually sent a small smile in his direction.
What now?
They had to go find outfits? Claudine looked at Bernie but she wasn’t really seeing her. Why? Because the Snakette was considering fleeing. Was this really worth it in the end? Getting into dance clothes? Embarrassing herself with dance moves that she was certain would be non existent for her? Possibly the only person who could change her mind was standing right beside her.
But at that exact moment, Claudine’s gaze was focused on the entrance/exit door. |
