Alexa was talking sense, to be honest, and Jake had to admit that as soon as the words 'twenty years ago' had been said, it struck him how much might have changed in that time, either in the training process or in his own abilities. Not that he doubted his abilities, he was just aware that in his current job, he didn't put all his training to use; he was sure to be a little rusty in certain areas.
Jake listened to what Alexa had to say on the matter, and all in all was quite happy with what he heard. He had also fully been expecting the 'but'.
"I'm perfectly happy with that," he replied, with a nod and a smile. With any luck, any thing he was out of practice with would come back to him quickly, and as for the newer material, Jake hoped he was still as good at picking up information as he was back in the day. "I think six months should be enough."
