Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll O___________O
All Tina could do was stand rooted to the spot, watching the scene unfold in front of her with a strange mixture of fear and anger. He had to fight the urge to roll her eyes at Desmarais’s antics. Nice to see the Beauxbatons tradition of falsely accusing people is alive and well, she thought bitterly. It was safe to say the rose garden was no longer her favorite place on the grounds. A part of her wanted nothing more than to set the stupid roses on fire - they were going to be blamed no matter what happened, so they might as well do the thing they were accused of - but that litle Slytherin (Claudine) had already done just that. Ha, serves her right for barging into their lesson and throwing out accusations! She wanted to applaud the girl, and she might have had it not been for what happened next.
Desmaris grabbing the Slytherin… that little Gryffindor (Bernadette) pointing her wand at Desmarais… that other little Gryffindor (Cecilia) trying (and failing) to extinguish the roses… and gargoyles. THERE. WERE. GARGOYLES. ATTACKING. STUDENTS. Nope, nope, nope! This was too much chaos for Tina to process all at once.
Her mind was shutting down, consumed by panic until de Nostredame’s voice jerked her back to reality. There was no need to tell her to lower her wand; she’d already put it away the moment she caught sight of Desmarais. As for dropping it on the ground… yeah, that wasn’t happening! If she took her wand back out of the holster to drop it, the gargoyles might view that as a challenge and attack. More importantly, how did she know they wouldn’t grab it off the ground and snap it in half like they tried to do with that little girl’s? How did she know someone wouldn’t accidentally step on it and break it amid all the chaos? Her dads (the two charms professor ones) told her to keep her wand on her at all times, so it was going to remain firmly in its holster at her side.
De Nostredame had better be right about the gargoyles not attacking anyone unprovoked! But just in case he wasn’t, Tina wasn’t going to stick around and be an easy target. She instinctively hid behind the nearest wicker couch, her dark eyes cautiously peering over the top. What was she going to do if the gargoyles attacked her anyway?
