The colt whinnied happily as it found the other half of the hotdog and snuffled it up. His head bounced around as he chomped it. Once gone, the colt sniffed and leaned in towards the little hyoo-mon to see if she had anything else for him to try. He was rather hungry and there were no birds in this stone meadow for him to chase and eat.
Meanwhile, across the square Mr. Oppsokopolis had poked the wrong bear. Or in this case, Thestral. The old stallion was not in the mood. He was hungry, this stone meadow was uncomfortable under his hoofs and he had been scared out of his home. All he really wanted to do was be left alone. With a loud bray that echoed off stone buildings, the stallion flicked his tail in the muggle's face, his wings flapped threateningly, and he nickered at him in warning before side-stepping into the muggle with a loud thunk-clunk of his hooves.
The stallion's reaction set off a chain-reaction with the rest of the herd. Loud neighs could be heard. Wings flapped. Hooves click-clacked on flagstones. A sudden restlessness rippled through the group.
