Hi! I'm Dani, and this is my first attempt at an SS50 (I think? I hope). I've completed one SS25 and attempted the SS100 more times than I'd like to admit (both onsite and offsite). This time around I'll be writing about my character Quinn Chambers. She went by Q for most of her young life and the most notable thing about her (much to her displeasure) is that she is a squib. A very stubborn squib at that. Originally, she was just an NPC I had created to fill in some storylines for my other characters (if you've heard of Benzi Rider, all of this is his fault). She grew and blossomed and began to have a voice of her own very quickly after I fleshed her out, and here we are who knows how many years later.

DISCLAIMER! The world of magic belongs to JKR, as does the concept of squibs. Quinn Chambers, the crabby squib of this particular story, belongs to me. Any other characters that do not belong to me will only be added with express permission from their RPers and listed in this post.

"I don’t have one."

A single shaped brow lifted as the Ministry security guard looked up and took in her appearance. She had a full day in court today, just like last week, just like the week before. She arrived half an hour earlier than her colleagues, because of this. Just like last week. Just like the week before.

"It's me, Creevey. It's Chambers." She presented her muggle ID card.

Creevey had the memory of a goldfish, and frowned at the frustrated woman before him. She didn't have an escort, so she was obviously not a muggle. "Miss, you must present your wand for weighing."

She looked like she might kill him. Every single time. "No wand, Creevey. Squib. We’ve had this discussion every week for the past month. Check your list."

"Oh. We don’t keep records of-"

"Check. Your list."

And the supposed squib was right. Right between "permitted muggles" and "foreign visitors", Miss Quinn Tanya Chambers had written herself in.

He stepped aside, and Quinn went through to the atrium.

"Always a pleasure, Creevey. Maybe next week I’ll bring along a wand of liquorice, specifically for you."
