She was a babe, so that was fine. Phoebe pulled up next to the boy with color changing hair and immediately knocked her napkin off the table. More like a kitten being naughty than a girl being clumsy. "This place is too posh. I feel like I have to whisper and learn to curtsy. And I don't want to learn to curtsy." Ravenclaw. He was a Ravenclaw. Just like his mum, his dad, his gran, his uncle. He was like them.
Teddy was still buzzing from his sorting when he reached the Papillionlisse table and wiggled into the empty seat beside his sister. There was conflict stirring inside him now; he wanted to congratulate her, he wanted to cheer for himself, he wanted to mourn their separation, he wanted to analyze how this happened and reel off all the reasons why this was not how it was supposed to go. But she looked unbothered, he was happy with his own sorting... and, before he knew it, he had pulled her into a sideways hug.
"We did it," he whispered. It wasn't the "it" he had anticipated, but... there they were. Hogwarts students. Well, Hogwarts-slash-Beauxbatons students. They had houses. Different ones, but good ones. Gryffindor was a respectable house. Phoebe was the brave one, the adventurous one, the carefree one... and maybe they weren't in the same house, but maybe Yoyo, Tavie, Cecelia, or Flynn would join either of them so they wouldn't be all alone in their houses. Maybe.
