Tucked away in a forgotten corner of le rez-de-chaussée is where you’ll find Professor Barlow’s office. If you can really call it an office, anyway. There’s a makeshift sign on the door stating that it is, but if you pop inside it’s clear that this ‘office’ is very much a utility cupboard.

At Hogwarts, his office was situated on the sixth-floor and had magnificent views. Here at Beauxbatons, it’s dimly lit, windowless and there’s a very faint, unpleasant smell of which he hasn’t been able to locate the source. The good news is, he’s somehow managed to squeeze in a desk. The bad news is, there isn’t room for chairs so if you want a chat, come on in and pull up an upturned bucket.

Oh, and watch out for the spiders.
