"Oh yeah. There's a lot of perks to being a Ravenclaw. Most prominent one I could think of is not being a Gryffindor." A sarcastic small smile is etched on his mouth as he said that. It was not a secret that Rory clashed with Gryffindors the most out of the three other houses. He got on well with Slytherins and Hufflepuffs in general, but Gryffindors exceptionally pushed his buttons faster.

Anyway. Moving on from the subject to something saucier. Drew's whereabouts before the library - If Rory was a gossip-y kind of guy, he'd push further and perhaps offer some dancing eyebrows but he didn't. He just smiles back at Drew and threw himself back onto the bed. He assumed he was with his girlfriend since he was being generic. "Ah. I see. Nice." He wondered sometimes if having someone you cared about in that way was motivational to study or a distraction? Both maybe even? He would not know. He did not have any adventures in that regard - unlike both his siblings. He was aware of how little experience he has right now compared to most, but he was not bothered by it. It is never one of his aspirations - not like painting and scoring that internship for the summer.
Drewett, honestly, would be really flattered and honoured. Those levels of friendship were unspoken things, though, he liked to believe. He wasn't the fussy type either, but it was for certain that he appreciated the casualness he could have around Rory at times.

The brown-haired boy wasn't the humourous type, but Drewett definitely understood what Rory meant by that. He personally had nothing against Gryffindors—half a lie because he still did not like the idea of that Gryffindor kid, whom Dia was apparently crushing on, treating his unbiological sister with little respect—but Rory was different. Drewett could tolerate the Gryffindor type of loudness, or their recklessness, or their 'Gryffindor-ness' in general. His friend, here, just...well, couldn't. Not as much as Drewett could, at least. "Lucky you, we d-didn't get bunked with them," he said, letting out a chuckle. You know what that would have been? A disaster.

On second thought, having Alessandro and Hudson in one tower was a bit of a disaster too. But that wasn't the point.

Nice. Drewett tried to act oh so casually there as he replaced his other books back into his trunk, but the tinge of red on the tips of his ears were likely giving him away. "Your studying corner will be off-limits, d-don't worry," he replied. Just to assure Rory of Drewett's respect for his privacy. If anything, it was quite the motivation for him to study OWLs. Drewett wasn't the easily distracted kind, but sometimes nice distractions were good to keep his head from exploding from information overload. Even a Ravenclaw could tell when they've had enough. "And you?" He threw the question back at Rory.
