It was even better when the person speaking to you was covered in paint and didn't seem to care.
It was an interesting sight, if you asked her. The canvases covered in paint scattered all over the floor and even the stone floor itself didn't seem able to stay paint-free. Anna chuckled but chose not to say anything for now. He was probably very aware of what he was doing and how much paint was getting everywhere, especially as his robes and hands weren't exactly that clean either.
The Gryffindor Prefect nodded her head when he said he didn't know what the crazy paint strokes meant yet. As soon as one of the portraits voiced their opinion, she looked up to see who was talking. Unloading his frustration on canvas? Sounded like something one of her cousins would do.
Anna didn't blame the Ravenclaw, though. Frustration had been a common feeling amongst all of the student body trapped in the Castle for so many months now. It was surprising no one had lost it completely yet - not that she knew of, at least. "That's okay." She told the man made of paint on the portrait. "It's better than hexing people." She added looking down to give the Ravenclaw boy a reassuring nod. It made her life easier than having to deal with hooligans that couldn't control their frustrations within the upper floors of the Castle. Doing some crazy paint masterpiece was much better than many, many things she had to deal with before.
What was she doing in that random part of the Castle? "I suppose... trying not to hex anyone." She chuckled. So basically the same as him, in a way, minus the paint.
Hold on. Was that... "Are you Kodee's brother?" She asked. His age, his house, the paint. She was sure she had seen them together before. Or... had she? What was his name again? Anna wasn't the best with names, but she was sure she had seen his face before.
Or was she just making that up? Sigh, who knew anymore. Maybe she was losing it after all. The Gryffindor Prefect. That was who she was and where he knew her from. She just looked a little different from this angel... in this lighting. Seein someone you're not familiar with in a dimmer light was always a whole new experience - their features appeared more prominent changing the overall image you have of them. This was Rory's observation right now.
Hexing? He smiled a little and gestured at the windowsill by the corner where he huddled with his paints. "You're welcome to join if that distracts you from hexing." He continued on with her joke. Or was it really a joke? Who knew about those Gryffindors. He knew for a fact that Kodee had enough energy and ludicrousy in his head to go about hexing people who bother him, and maybe their Prefect wasn't so saint either.
Aaaaaand here was the name. "Yes. I'm Rory." He almost added 'the mature one' but he wouldn't call his brother out to someone he had just stumbled upon - or stumbled upon him. "You know Kodee." He stated expecting her to go on. |
