He didn't press on it so Drew wouldn't freak out or call him out on his dark humor.
The crowds always increase at the end of the term, he figured. "Yeah, I decided to just move my studying station somewhere else." He wasn't a loner per se, but he always refrained from being in a crowd unless absolutely necessary. This probably developed early in his childhood when Kodee always stole the spotlight with his activity and loudness, and Jolie was obviously the cute one, even though they all knew she was not all that cute when she had something on her mind. Overall Rory was the quiet one, he didn't have it in him to fight for attention and hence he got lost in a crowd. It was easier being around a couple of people where he could interact comfortably.
So, yeah, he was not a loner but he did not enjoy crowds even if they included books. Humour. In fact, one would even question if Drewett had a sense of humour. Rory's sense of humour was evidently darker than what the brown-haired Ravenclaw was accustomed to. It wasn't Drewett's type of humour, but he was definitely trying to not make it seem like it bothered him. He let out a forced chuckle. He still wasn't a fan of the mist. "Oh? Where to?" Drewett asked. He'd understood the need for personal space and, if it weren't for the library's extensive book collection and references, he wouldn't be much of a visitor of the library. "B-But if it's private, I understand." He wasn't going to push for Rory to share if he didn't want to. A private space was a private space. This Ravenclaw genuinely respected that. It was one of things he liked about Rory, too. That he kept to himself. Sometimes Kodee overwhelmed Drewett with his obscenely direct questions, and on the other hand, Jolie was literally one of the few people who could read right through him. He'd had far too many deer-in-the-headlights moments because of her, not that it was a bad thing.
