Uhm. He actually meant that scary mist. The one that almost broke his sister. The one that he hated and was ready to fight if push come to shove. But he wasn't a natural fighter or an aggressive person, so fighting something off was always his last resort. He preferred cunning plans and/or sarcasm. "Uhm, okay." He didn't press on it so Drew wouldn't freak out or call him out on his dark humor.

The crowds always increase at the end of the term, he figured. "Yeah, I decided to just move my studying station somewhere else." He wasn't a loner per se, but he always refrained from being in a crowd unless absolutely necessary. This probably developed early in his childhood when Kodee always stole the spotlight with his activity and loudness, and Jolie was obviously the cute one, even though they all knew she was not all that cute when she had something on her mind. Overall Rory was the quiet one, he didn't have it in him to fight for attention and hence he got lost in a crowd. It was easier being around a couple of people where he could interact comfortably.

So, yeah, he was not a loner but he did not enjoy crowds even if they included books.
