Piers was a pretty chill guy, but it was hard not to feel anxious about the huge evacuation to Hogsmeade. The mist was more than a mist. It almost felt like it was its own entity that was somehow able to know the deepest, darkest fears of whoever stepped inside of it. Not only that, but it was also incredibly dangerous. He just hoped that the tunnels would provide safety for all of the students and that the mist wouldn't spread to Hogsmeade when they got there.
He also hoped he could go to the Three Broomsticks for a pint. He needed one, okay?
Piers stayed near the back for a moment while the students began heading down the tunnel. It looked like Cornish was volunteering to stay back to catch any stragglers and keep up the end of the line. He gave the man a nod and stayed where he was as the students passed by him. He would stay, too, to walk with Cornish and be the last to leave. You were never too old for the buddy system. |
