Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

This. Escalated. Quickly.

Malachi watched in something resembling a mixture of horror and "I don't wanna know" as he took the last of the photos then began making his way around the room to see what the students had come up with. Poisonings, ex drama, amusement, no comment on Calrissian's. No, he'd just keep walking and internally facepalming and--

"Slinkhard, I trust you've got firm evidence to base such an accusation off of." What with the whole discussion they'd just had on throwing around such a weighted title. The man glanced about the room, detecting no danger himself but he'd never known the boy to cause a stir...or give a proper joke for that matter. Kid usually seemed a little wound up. Was he just a little too wound up this time around?

He leaned over to look at Allanach-Senchuri's as she said she was done. "You'll need to put the motive." Leaving it as "unknown" was not what the assignment called for.

The Headmaster walked over to the covered pile in the corner and drew the covers away. One by one he levitated a few portraits onto the wall, spacing them evenly enough.

They were magical portraits. One cackled like a mad man--and maybe he was a mad man. One held her nose high and refused to look at the students and the last was a talker, immediately trying to engage everyone in conversation. "Let's move on to the last part of the activity. But first, while walking the room, I noticed some of you didn't add a motive for your crimes. Attach those quickly. Renaldi, I do hope your wand stays in its holster for the remainder of this lesson." Y'know, plausible deniability and all. "Here's what I'd like you all to do. There are three portraits here. Viktor Mikailov,' The man cackling away to his own joke. "Lena Drummond," Who was not at all impressed, "and Patrick Croz."The one who wouldn't shut up. Malachi pointed to each as he spoke. "Now that your brains have hopefully been re-oriented in its way of thinking, I'd like you to pick one. Any one is fine. You will ask only three questions, no more no less. Three. With the three answers, I want your assessment on this person's status of guilt. Remain in that Law Enforcement frame of mind, but keep in mind everything we've discussed. Again I don't mind you working with others BUT regardless of how many you work with, the cap is still three questions." So a pair didn't have 6 questions, they still had only 3.

He wouldn't tell them what any of the portraits did, he wouldn't tell them the outcome of any investigations. They had three questions and they would need to use them wisely. "Write your assessment at the back of your wanted posters before handing them in." Time for them to put their brains to work. Decide what was important and what information they could do without to essentially make judgements of a person's character.

OOC: This is the last portion of the lesson. It's an interview of sorts, more closely related to an investigation but your students can only ask a max of three questions before deciding the portraits "dark" status. You can have them ask all three at once or spread them through posts. you can work alone or with others, however you want to play this out. They can ask any questions they think may reveal more about the portraits character. I'll close the lesson on June 15 @ 11:59 am EST. Until then I'll be around to play the portraits and of course Malachi is still around. Poke me if you've got any questions ^^
