Politely refuse the gentleman or lady and pivot the conversation to something more agreeable." Eating ashes was terrible for one's health and Alice (ever health obsessed) would not stand for students eating it, even for a prank.

"We can't stay for the whole party, but I estimate we should be here for a little while. I cleared your schedule for the next hour so we all have a little extra time. Now..."

She smiled thinly. "Students first." And she pushed the doors open.

I had to get this post up quickly and didn't have time to describe the party, but we'll just say it looks a lot like the party from COS: Ash covered feast, terrible sounding organs, and lots and lots of chilly ghosts. You can have you kid react to the surroundings - several ghost accounts will be joining us shortly!
