Conley had learned long ago that his waistline wasn’t the most forgiving and until recently, his diet had consisted of a lot of takeout foods. Sweets, just didn’t make the cut in things he could allow himself to eat without getting fat. He glanced over at the lady, pulling himself out of his thoughts and realized she had gone back to looking at the fudge selections. He wandered to a shelf nearby, looking at the boxes of truffles.

Although she wasn't looking directly at him, she could tell that something was off. She hadn't put her very observant finger on it yet. But she knew something wasn't right. Standing upright again, "Well if fudge isn't the..." She glanced around only to see that he had meandered off to the boxes of truffles. She looked back at the fudge before looking back at him. Clearing her throat and walking closer, "What would you get them. No thinking what is the first thing that comes to mind?"

Her mother used to do this with her and her sister when they were kids and couldn't decide on a specific item in the store. First thing that came to mind was going to be the thing they got. It worked more often than not and she often used it in her gift giving.
