He hardly noticed it today as he walked over the bridge, taking the long way back to the castle from the pitch after practice. His broom resting against his shoulder as he carried it, he hardly gave the girl much notice as he approached to pass her, until he noticed something fall from her hands. Gunnar couldn't quite tell what it was from his vantage point, but he could see it threatening to fall from the edge. "Accio might be useful," he said helpfully as his footsteps took him closer to her. She had her wand with her, right? Her gaze darted toward the voice as the panic faded, settling on a blond who she wasn't familiar with. Though, being her first term here, she was hardly familiar with anyone. So maybe that was fair. "You wouldn't be the first to suggest that to me this term." But the previous boy had kind of done all of the work for her and she couldn't say she minded that one bit. Though... this was different. And perhaps it was time she showed that she wasn't totally helpless... and that a muggleborn was perfectly capable of magic. Not that this boy knew any of that.
Carefully, she retrieved her wand. After five years she still had her doubts about breaking the thing. Before she knew it, she spoke the spell out loud, and the compact was once again back in her hand. "So... thanks."
