What was... that look? Kaiser wasn't too sure he liked it, and he found himself avoiding looking into the centaur's eyes, instead directing his gaze back down at the little symbol that had been dug into the ground beside the sapling. Just for something to look at.
He was relieved when the lesson moved on, and he could look at Thereos again, but that relief was cut short by the realisation that he had to go back to deciphering his words once again. Wands. Wood. Bows. Trees. Right... riiiiight...
Kaiser was... sort of following. Kind of. Well, actually, his attention was wandering, as Thereos' words kind of washed over him. It wasn't until those around him started moving off towards the trees that he realised they had been given an activity.
Preferring not to ask the centaur to repeat his instructions, Kaiser decided to watch what neighbouring students were doing instead, so that he could follow suit. Mostly that involved approaching and hugging a tree, which... well, okay. Then there was that business with the symbol. Basically, nothing too taxing.
Picking a tree at random that hadn't yet been claimed, Kaiser approached, head tilted slightly as he considered it. He closed the distance, ready to put his arms around it and hug it - though not knowing exactly why he was doing so, thanks to his wandering concentration during the instructions - when a furious rustling from up above caught his attention. Curious, he peered up into the branches, but initially saw nothing but twigs and foliage. Kaiser stood there staring for a moment, frowning slightly, and was about to lower his gaze again when, like noticing an optical illusion, he realised exactly what he was looking at. Those weren't twigs.
"Woah," Kaiser said, stepping back quickly away from the tree and raising his hands as though in surrender. Uhhh...
